President

yodaughter (Alison Muratore) (she/her) is President. She’s tiptoeing through the tulips in The Hague, The Netherlands, and is attempting (yet again) to learn how to ride a bike. Don’t panic, and always wear your helmet!

First Vice President

B‑Side (Ben Smith) (he/him) is First Vice President. He lives in the Boston area and enjoys cooking/baking in his spare time, when he’s not solving puzzles. He dislikes both pina coladas AND getting caught in the rain.

Second Vice President

WXYZ (Wil Zambole) (he/him) is Second Vice President. He has been a member of the NPL since 2013, hosted the NPL convention in 2018 (Milwaukee) and will be hosting the convention in 2025 (Minneapolis/St. Paul). He loves writing puzzles even more than solving them! He also loves to dabble in many other hobbies, sports, and leisurely activities.

Secretary

Lady Mondegreen (Dee Williams) (she/her) is Secretary. She lives in the Boston area with her husband Earl Grey, their unwieldy board game collection, and their two cats. You can probably find her in the gym, at a board game table, or trying desperately to get out of an escape room.

Treasurer

Eight Ninety (Katie Hamill) (she/her) is Treasurer. She lives in the Boston area. On the flimsiest of excuses, she will sing any one of a legitimately terrifying number of show tunes. Her kid still thinks she’s cool.

Historian

WILLz (Will Shortz) (he/him) is Historian, as well as director of the convention committee. He lives in Pleasantville, NY, and has been an NPL member since 1972. He has all but 79 issues of The Enigma, dating back to the 1800s. In his non-NPL life, he is the crossword editor of The New York Times.

Editor

Btnirn (Sandy Kutin) (he/him), the Editor, lives in Princeton, NJ. When he’s not editing puzzles, Btnirn enjoys … not editing puzzles. (Also playing board games, and spending time with his wife and three daughters.)
