Interact online

The National Puzzlers’ League (NPL) has a strong presence online, where the puzzle-loving crowd can swap tips, discuss solutions, and celebrate those sweet moments of eureka! It’s the ultimate spot for anyone who loves to dive deep into the world of puzzles, share wordplay of all kinds, and enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded problem solvers. We use various platforms to co-solve puzzles, play games, and discuss puzzle-related topics.

Weekly video meetups

The NPL does not maintain an official video-conferencing service, but individual members host regular meetings on video-conferencing platforms. These meetings are open to all NPL members. The current meetings are:

Tuesday night games and puzzles

Hosted by: Pacho

Mailing lists

The NPL has two mailing lists:

NPL-Announce

Announcements about The Enigma, conventions, the website, and other League business are sent to this list. Only administrators of the list can post to it, and the traffic is quite low. Members are automatically subscribed to this list when they join, but can be removed by request to the listmaster

NPL-Folk

This is a members-only list for discussion of puzzles and puzzle-related topics. Any subscriber can post to this list, which is lightly moderated. Volume of traffic can vary greatly. To subscribe to NPL-Folk, contact the listmaster.

Slack

The NPL maintains a Slack workspace. Slack is mainly used for general discussion of puzzles and puzzle-related topics, but members occasionally create channels for scheduled chats, puzzle solving, or game events. In addition, activity picks up during our annual convention, when members use it to organize outings, after-hours games, and other activities.

You can access the site through your web browser or through the Slack mobile or desktop app. Anyone with a puzzlers.org email address can sign up for an account. If you do not have a puzzlers.org email address but wish to join us, please contact the chatmaster.

Facebook

The NPL has an active Facebook group. The group is members-only and all posts are moderated. Many members post puzzles to Facebook, especially during the month of March as part of Enigmarch. Other common topics include upcoming puzzle events (in person or online) and wordplay found “in the wild.”
